Send and Receive Large and Confidential Files
Policy Patrol MFT is a Managed File Transfer solution that enables users to send large and confidential files instantly and securely by uploading files to a file server from where they can be downloaded by the recipient. Files can be sent via email or via a portal.
Central Email Attachment Management
Policy Patrol optionally offers email attachment management for Exchange Server, allowing you to set company-wide rules for securely sending email attachments based on certain conditions such as attachment size, sensitivity level, or recipient through the managed file transfer system. The process is completely transparent to the user, and companies no longer need to leave it up to the user to decide when to send files securely. Since Policy Patrol is server based, no Outlook client installation is required.
Ad Hoc File Transfer
In addition to sending email attachments, users can also upload files through a portal. External contacts can securely send files to your organization from your company website.
Authentication
Policy Patrol offers standard authentication where the password is embedded in the download link in the email to the recipient. Advanced authentication is also available, which offers a higher level of security by requiring the contact to create an account and supply a password before they can download the file.
Delivery Notifications
Senders receive notifications when files are sent and downloaded, giving them the peace of mind that the files have arrived.
Life Cycle Management
Users can set expiration dates as well as limit the number of times a file can be downloaded.
Search File Transfers
Users can search through file transfers to locate specific files and transfers.
Role Based Access
Policy Patrol offers centralized management of files and users based on user roles. To aid compliancy with industry regulations and company policy, Compliance Officers can access all file transfers on the system. Administrators can manage user accounts, but not view other users’ files.
Encryption
Files are secured during transit and at rest using AES-256 encryption. File transfers can also be secured using SSL encryption.
Branded Portal
The Policy Patrol Managed File Transfer portal and notification emails can be customized and branded with your own logo and color scheme.
File Type Control
Policy Patrol MFT allows you to specify which file types are allowed to be sent or uploaded through the system.
Anti-Virus
With the BitDefender Anti-Virus add-on, Policy Patrol MFT protects against malware by virus scanning all files before they are uploaded to the system.
